The progression curve at a glance
Five stages every account passes through.
Stage 1 — Resource boot (levels 1–30)
Redeem all 29 working codes first. The Update 0.5 wave alone hands out enough Grimoire Spins to reach a usable magic before you grind anything.
Stage 2 — First build (levels 30–50)
Quest in one zone, keep stat points unspent, and test magic types with free spins so you know your target before committing.
Stage 3 — Grimoire unlock (level 50)
Unlock your first magic at the Grimoire Tower (Wizard NPC) (Wizard NPC). From here the game becomes a reroll-and-farm loop.
Stage 4 — Boss economy
Lich (Anti Magic orb), Yuno (Dungeon Keys, Wind Orb) and Yami (Dark Orb) become your weekly routine. Drop rates are 1–30%, so runs are planned, not casual.
Stage 5 — Endgame assembly
Anti Magic transformation, Dark V2 through Yami, Wind Spirit and Sylph progression, plus PvP arena climbing.
Choosing your starting path
Magic Knight or Mage — what the choice actually changes.
Magic Knight (recommended)
Balanced stats and forgiving early quests. Almost every fast-leveling route assumes this path.
Mage
Darker quest line with different NPCs. Viable, but fewer guides cover it and early game is less stable.
Not permanent
The choice steers early quests, not your final build. Stat Resets from codes let you reshape stats whenever a build demands it.
Build archetypes that work in September 2026
Four proven combinations and who they suit.
Starter (levels 1–50)
Magic Knight start, Wind or Fire Magna from your first spins, Dwarf or Elf race. Everything before level 50 is about reaching the Grimoire Tower with resources intact.
PvP burst
Time or Anti Magic + Devil + Berserker Instinct. Burst on cooldown windows and lifesteal through trades — the current arena meta.
Farm loop
Wind or Light + Angel + Critical Genius. Fast AoE clears with self-sustain for hours of boss and mob farming without potions.
Endgame chase
Anti Magic + Devil + Berserker Instinct. Assembled through the Lich Orb grind; the strongest but slowest build to complete.
What changed in Update 0.5
The September 22 patch reshuffled early-game priorities.
Code flood
Six new codes in two days (UPDATE0.5!, 0.5SPECIALCODE!, two DELAY codes, 24MVISITS!, DGHOUL!) plus NEXTCHAPTER!, MINING! and SYSTEMREWORK! on the 23rd — over a million Yen and 800+ spins available free.
System rework
SYSTEMREWORK!'s name is literal: trait and broom systems were touched, making its 100 trait rerolls and 50 broom spins unusually valuable this patch.

Guide hub FAQ
Common questions about progression order.
What should I do first in Clover Origins?
Redeem codes, pick Magic Knight, quest to level 50, then unlock your first grimoire. Do not spend stat points before your grimoire is locked in.
Is Mage a bad start?
No — it is just less documented. Magic Knight remains the safer default for a first account.
When does the real game start?
Level 50. Before that you are gathering resources; after it, the spin/reroll economy defines progression.
